We felt you truly cared about S and she was not just another kid passing through. In all categories in which one evaluates day care centres, HeadStart is the top of each one. S loved the warm family environment as well as the group of children she interacted with while we lived in Hobsonville. HeadStart provides an all-inclusive family approach that not only had my daughter talking excitedly each night about her day and which teachers helped her to what, but my husband and I both felt involved and that you truly cared about S’s well-being. "Finding a place to put your baby in the care of strangers is a daunting task. I searched long and hard before I found HeadStart, but straight away I know it was the one! The warm and welcoming nature of all teachers was evident. M took a bit longer to warm up to his teachers, but everyone was kind and patient with him, allowing him to slowly settle in. It was a relief when there were no more tears I the morning – but it also meant he was happy and secure! (This made for a happy mum too!) M thrived at kindy and always came home singing his songs! "During this time, I have had extremely positive experience, where I have constantly observed the caring culture, with a pretty special bunch of teachers that are kind, patient, open-minded and innovative. The children are happy – and when they are not, they are treated with kindness and compassion…and cuddles when needed. We have had useful feedback on what our children are doing during their day. The odd issue or problem along the way has been dealt with sensitively and positively. The staff turnover is extremely low. Individuality is respected. Imaginations and different learning styles are actively encouraged."
